Woodhall Board up/Clean up with Brian Banks

Woodhall Board up/Clean up with Brian Banks

June 15, 2013 State Representative Brian Banks coordinated a board -up / clean-up of four houses on Woodhall St. in Cornerstone Village , Detroit. 8 Cornerstone volunteers and 6 volunteer carpenters from the Michigan Council of Carpenters and Milwrights, Hammer9.com, joined in to get the job done. Things are looking much improved on the 5700 block of Woodhall St. Channel 7 news came to visit and did a story for the 6 P.M. news that day. Thank you Representative Banks and the volunteers for the hours of sweat hours….it was worth it.

24 Servant Project volunteers from New Orleans came to Detroit to turn back the blight in the vicinity of Salem Memorial Lutheran Church which coordinate the entire 4 day clean-up, board-up, paint -up of the areas worst blight. Cornerstone Village is in debt to this unselfish group in demonstrating their faith as inspiration to us.
