Michigan’s eviction moratorium expired July 15. BUT The 36th District has issued an eviction moratorium for Detroit which lasts until August 15th.

Great Meeting Yesterday! We had a wonderful turnout and an abundance of baked goods and merriment! Love Rising Lutheran Church hosted our meetings for years & we appreciate them.

Remember that CSV meetings are the 3rd Saturday of the Month from 10am – 12pm.

The Rundown

At 9am, our District 4 Manager Letty Azar gave a great overview of area happenings including:

Tax foreclosure prevention counseling workshop – 2/18/2020

Tuesday February 18 @ Bethany Lutheran Church, 11475 E Outer Drive. It’s from 4pm-7pm.**

Remember to bring a copy of your deed, proof of ownership and/or lease. License or photo ID. Recent DTE bill or mail w/ name or address on it and any correspondence from Wayne County.

Other items covered were the 2nd Round of the Detroit at Work / FCA job readiness events.

Financial Resource Fair on Saturday, March 14th from 11am-3pm. It will take place at the Salvation Army 3000 Conner St.
Banks, credit unions & other community resources will be there. ๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ต You can reserve a spot here

District 4 Community Meeting 2/18/2020
District 4 Meeting at WCCCD’s Eastern Campus on 5901 Conner. City representatives will be there along with other city service reps.

Rental Properties

Mrs. Azar also covered the topic of the rental property compliance and how the property needs to obtain a certificate of compliance before they move someone in.

At 10am DWSD gave a presentation ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ about the sewer upgrades about the coming to Cornerstone Village! They were friendly & answered all attendees questions! ๐Ÿ˜€

Work starts in about 2 1/2 weeks

Note: not every residence is getting an upgrade or replacement. And the residents being worked on will receive prior notice in the form of a door hanger flyer.

February 15 CSV Monthly Meeting

The Cornerstone Village Association is having its first meeting of the new year! 2020! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

In addition to the regular meeting, we have 3 special guests!!

Join Letty Azar, the District 4 (D4) Manager, for a meeting especially for you, Cornerstone Village (CSV) residents @ 9AM

Residents in surrounding communities are also encouraged to attend.

Letty would like to hear the concerns of the communities in District 4.

Bivings, the Business Liaison for D4, may also be available.

Immediately following the general meeting, the Detroit Water & Sewage Department will give an update on water main upgrades in CSV.

Representatives from Chipotle will also be there.
